Overview
A beloved animal adventure returns in a beautifully illustrated hardback edition, supplied as a ready-made set of 20 identical copies. Ideal for teachers, librarians and reading groups who need enough matching books for an entire class or club, this pack brings Kenneth Grahame's timeless riverbank tale to a new generation, complete with E.H. Shepard's classic illustrations that have accompanied the story for decades.

About the Book
First published in 1908, The Wind in the Willows follows the gentle, home-loving Mole as he abandons his spring-cleaning to explore the riverbank, where he strikes up a lifelong friendship with the boat-loving Ratty. Together they encounter the wise, solitary Badger deep in the Wild Wood, and the endlessly reckless Mr Toad of Toad Hall, whose obsession with motor cars lands him in one scrape after another. What begins as gentle riverside adventures builds into a rollicking rescue mission, as the friends band together to reclaim Toad Hall from the invading weasels and stoats. Threaded through the humour is a warm celebration of friendship, loyalty, home and the changing seasons on the river. This hardback edition is illustrated throughout with E.H. Shepard's much-loved artwork, the illustrator who later brought Winnie-the-Pooh to life, and his delicate pen-and-ink drawings capture the riverbank world beautifully. Supplied as a set of 20 identical hardback copies, this pack is ideal wherever multiple copies of the same title are needed at once, ensuring every reader has a matching, good-quality hardback edition to enjoy, share or study together.

About the Author
Kenneth Grahame (1859-1932) was a Scottish-born writer best known for The Wind in the Willows, which began as bedtime stories and letters written for his son, Alastair. Before turning to writing full time, Grahame worked for many years at the Bank of England. His gentle, evocative prose and deep love of the English countryside shine through the riverbank world of Mole, Ratty, Badger and Toad, and the book has remained a cherished classic of children's literature since 1908.
