About the Author
Sir Pelham Grenville Wodehouse, KBE (1881–1975), was an English author widely regarded as one of the most read humorists of the twentieth century. Born in Guildford, he was educated at Dulwich College before briefly working at a bank, a job he disliked enough to turn to writing full-time. Over a career spanning more than seventy years, he created enduring characters including Bertie Wooster and Jeeves, Lord Emsworth and the Blandings set, and the urbane Psmith, cementing his reputation as the master of English comic prose.
