About the Author:
Roger Hargreaves (1935-1988) created the Mr. Men series after his son Adam asked him what a tickle looked like, sparking the idea for Mr Tickle. Born in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire, Hargreaves worked in advertising before turning his gift for simple shapes and big personalities into one of Britain's best-loved children's book series. Since Mr Tickle first appeared in 1971, the Mr. Men and Little Miss characters have become a much-loved part of childhood for generations of readers, continued today under the Farshore imprint.
