Overview
This four-book paperback collection brings together some of Claire Keegan's most celebrated short fiction and novellas, from her Rooney Prize-winning debut Antarctica to the Booker-shortlisted Small Things Like These. Spanning quiet Irish farmhouses, foster homes and small-town streets at Christmas, these four standalone paperbacks showcase the spare, precise prose that has made Keegan one of the most admired literary voices working today. A superb introduction or gift set for readers of contemporary and classic Irish fiction.

About the Books
Antarctica is Keegan's debut story collection, an unsettling sequence exploring longing, betrayal and fragile relationships, opening with a married woman's single-minded trip to the city. It won the Rooney Prize for Irish Literature and remains one of her most acclaimed works. The Forester's Daughter, part of the Faber Stories series, takes readers into the Wicklow countryside and the farming family of Victor Deegan, unravelling long-buried secrets across the changing seasons. Foster, Keegan's beloved novella, follows a young girl sent to live with foster parents on a rural farm one hot summer, discovering unexpected warmth before a hidden truth threatens to shatter her fragile new happiness; it won the Davy Byrnes Award. Small Things Like These, shortlisted for the Booker Prize and winner of the Orwell Prize for Political Fiction, is set in a small Irish town in the run-up to Christmas 1985, following coal merchant Bill Furlong as he confronts the complicit silences of a community shadowed by the Church. Together, these four titles offer a rich cross-section of Keegan's career, unified by her hallmark restraint, emotional precision and deep feeling for rural Ireland.
